INTRODUCTION
Hello, my name is Tabitha Staehr, I am a 13 year old 7th grader from Nebraska.
Last year I had the opportunity to participate in the 2009 American National Teenage Scholarship Organization (ANTSO), a pageant for young girls. I received my first title and crown as Miss Nebraska Preteen ANTSO Ambassador and was proud of my title.
During my year of reign I have enjoyed helping my community by sponsoring several fundraiser events, volunteering to help support several organizations, appearing in numerous parades, holding a garage sale and donating money to “Make a Wish”, and hosting an event to bring toys to be given to children in need. This was in honor of my friend Schuyler who lost her battle to cancer. Most of all I have enjoyed being a role model for other young girls.
This year, 2010, I had to give up my title. I competed in the junior division and in return have proudly received a new title and crown, “MISS NEBRASKA JUNIOR ANTSO AMBASSADOR“.
With this new title I will continue to support my community by volunteering to help with several organizations such as St. Jude’s Hospital for children, the City Mission and Salvation Army, Special Olympics and more. I will be holding fundraisers to help raise money for cancer research and awareness, and hold my annual Schuyler Peterson Birthday Toy Fund in honor of my friend Schuyler, to have toys donated to children in need.
I hope to continue to be an inspiration for other girls to help build their confidence as they look up to me.

Thank you to all of my family and friends who support me.
